sma blue tooth invrter range

Hi all

Does anyone know of a less expensive blue tooth repeater for extending the SMA 4000tl  indoor range. The SMA repeater cost's   more than the sunny beam info monitor itself  which I  find  O.T.T.  I would appreciate any comments.

I have a 4000TL and Sunny Beam. In my house it works OK both downstairs and upstairs (the inverter is in the loft) though I guess it depends on the local situation, house construction and distances involved. However. when I use a laptop with Sunny Expolorer the internal Blutooth adaptor does not cut it, so I disabled it and purchased a high power Belkin Bluetooth adaptor external USB with 100m range for a few pounds.

I use a Belkin Bluetooth USB. My Inverter is in the Garage so distance minimal

I also use a Belkin Bluetooth USB. My Inverter is in the Garage and my PC is upstairs in the house - generally no problem ‘finding’ my Sunnyboy.

I also use a Belkin Bluetooth USB and find it OK.  MY PC is on the ground floor and the SMA 3600TL in the loft but probably only about 8-10 metres away on a straight line through two internal walls and a ceiling.

Hi Dave,

Rather than boost the signal from the invertor it makes sense to buy something that will find it, a Belkin 100m range dongle seems to be your best option. At circa £8 on ebay it will find your Invertor no problem and not break the bank. I have one and have had no problems so far finding my 3600TL.
