Deletion of data from Sunny Boy

Does anyone have any experience of deleting data from your Sunny Boy and then retrieving it from your inverter?

We have a user who has had to reset their Sunny Boy, but this has lead to a deletion of all the old csv files.  However, it would seem that the inverter is still holding the data, as the total sums are correct (total generation and finance).  Perhaps this is kept only as a cumulative sum…

Has anyone been able to use the Sunny Boy to retrieve the csv files?  We'd love to have your ideas.

Lisa

Deletion of data from Sunny Boy

Hi Lisa,

Do you mean the SunnyBeam, the bluetooth reciever for the SunnyBoy inverter?

If so I don't think you can retrieve the data back onto the SunnyBeam but if they install the Sunny Explorer PC software and connect to their Inverter via bluetooth they should be able to explore and export the data from the inverter.

Hope that helps.

Deletion of data from Sunny Boy

Hi Kevin,

You are right - I meant the SunnyBeam.  I will pass on your advice.  Hopefully, they will read the forum.

I am slightly surprised that the SunnyBeam doesn't download all inverter data when it resets.

Thanks!

Lisa
