A Record Month

I don't imagine I am alone in having experienced a record month.

My 3.76 Kw Schueco, south facing system in mid Northumberland producing 550KwH during July, with a Kwh/Kwp of 148 and a daily average over 18kwh.  It is more that 60kwh greater than my previous monthly record (previous record 490 kwh in May 2012, system installed Nov 2011).  550kwh is nearly 150% of the PVGIS figure and this month has been the largest deviance from that average since the system was installed, In fact April, May, June and July have all been substantially above the PVGIS data.

Have other people had similar results ?

Hi Steve,

Not quite as excessive as your result, but a similar message from Cambridgeshire: +26% on PVGIS, 144kWh/kWp in the best month since installation in October 2011.

However considering the running annual figures, the weather has managed to average things out to match PVGIS within a few % for 2 years now. I am fearing a dreadful Autumn Winter…

I'm also in Cambridgeshire and it was our best month since installation in November 2011.  149kWh/kWp for us.  At the end of July we were up on PVGIS year to date expected for the first time this year but then the forecast is for the weather to go back to usual again in the next week or so!

Nice one, Steve. So, the secret Northumbrian riviera! Hmm. Maybe I should rent this place out. How much do you need to fork out for a place up there then?!

Economy 10 tariff provides 6.9p/kWh off-peak import between 12am-5am, 1pm-4pm and 8pm-10pm; http://www.pvoutput.org/aggregate.jsp?id=21047&sid=18934&v=2&t=m on approx. 63% off-peak usage, 22% solar usage, and 15% peak-rate usage.
1,900kWh annually is exported, mostly in summer, on approx. 3,200kWh generation. Approx. 4,500kWh/year is imported, mostly for (a) winter and springtime off-peak Storage Heaters, and (b) off-peak hot water Immersion heating (which is “dumb”, i.e. not linked to the solar PV).
PV array is split East-West. Income is from Phase II 21p/kWh Feed-in-Tariff plus smart metered 3.2p/kWh Export Tariff.

July was good, but not a record for us.
Our 3.96kWhp system, South facing, Essex coast location managed 627kWh during the month, 22 units average/day,  PVGIS +34%, 158.3 kWh/kWhp. The 658kWh we got in May 2011 has still to be beaten.

hi,

Yep, this July was almost 110kwh more than last July, so far this August (upto 5th) is almost to the amount I got for last Feb totally, it beat Jan by the 3rd, I would get more but my system is split into two, due to the size of the roof and the direction is not south,

A record month for me too.  569 kWh total, equivalent to 144 kWp which is 35% above PVGIS.

With a nominal 4kw system, on the south coast , south facing, I produced 609.84 kw/h over the month, which sems a little below par compared with some of you.
