FIT foot dragging

I get the impression that Scottish Power is either incredibly badly organised behind the scenes, or reluctant to commence FIT payments to new subscribers (or both).  Can anyone give me rough comparative timescales for

- date of installation to date of registration

- date of registration to date of receipt of first FIT payment.

I accept that the time lags will most likely vary by season and by supplier but it would be nice to have a yardstick.  Other than what I suppose is their Complaints Dept is there anyone else than one can have recourse to to bang heads together?

Tks

FIT foot dragging

Up to my last payment date in August, I all ways received my payment with 2 to 3 weeks max, no problem. The august payment I did not receive so i contacted them after 4 weeks, I was told that they received my meter reading and she could not tell me why i hadnt received payment, would take 2 weeks for payment she said. Took a little longer.

Perhaps this is going to be the norm now, will soon find out as next meter reading due next month.

Installed feb 2012, no issues with scottish power till last payment. I do know the numbers of installations has increased fast, perhaps not enough resources to process payments.

Can you or anyone else remember if there was a particular delay when the system was first installed and you had to wait for “registration” - and now, it appears for several months beyond that - for the first payment to appear?  This is the smoke screen that Scottish Power are currently using to fudge the issue and I have escalated the matter to an official complaint.  It would be useful if I could quote a few comparative facts when the matter comes up for review.

So it looks like there is a time lag (for you) of about 1 month for “regular” readings until receipt of payments.  In my case it is now 4 months since installation / start of generation, and they have now told me that I have to wait another 6 - 8 weeks.  I have told them that this is disgraceful.

I'm with EON and it was a nightmare with the original registration, with forms getitng lost in paper and email form.  I had some panic at the time because of the fit rate deadline.

Installed Dec 2011 and registration / first payment June 2012.

However now payment is around 7 to 10 days after meter reading emailed to them.

Interesting to see that I'm not alone!  It could be 6 months from installation to payment in both cases, except that I'm being told that I have to wait about a further 4 months from registration date which I find is incredible.

FIT foot dragging

hi,

I am with Ecotricty the time from installation to registration was 2 weeks after submitting the required paper work.

Usual time to receive FITs payments is 6- 8 weeks. I get a stateemnt from Ecotricty within 2 weks of meter reading which says payment will be made when funds are avaiable from Ofgen.

So for 1st payment it took  2weeks to complete registration 3 months to first meter read then 6 weeks for payment total 20 weeks. Then its been every 12 weeks.

Never had any issuses with them in 3 years

A near neighbour has just signed up with them and has had similar good experiance.
