FIT Payment Rates from April 2016

Just in case anyone hasn't seen these yet they can be found at https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/system/files/docs/2016/02/feed-in_tariff_scheme_tariff_table_1_april_2016_-_31_march_2017_pv_only.pdf

(probably needs to be on one line)

FIT Payment Rates from April 2016

When I looked a few days ago on the gov site, they were about 4.5p per kwh. The rate went down if too many applications were submitted in your area. Was I looking at the right thing?

FIT Payment Rates from April 2016

My 4 kw system was installed 21st October 2015. My FIT payments have been generation @ 12.47 ppkw and export @4.85 ppkw.
These figures do not appear to agree with the 2015/16 rates.
Can anyone tell me if they are correct? Please.

Take a look at https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/system/files/docs/2016/02/feed-in_tariff_scheme_tariff_table_1_april_2016_-_31_march_2017_pv_only.pdf

I think you are FIT year 6 (last table) and rates should be 12.62 and 4.91 p/kWh. These rates were applicable from 1 April 2016 I think and probably lower before that date which may explain the discrepancy if you are taking an average over your whole generation period back to October 2015.

FIT Payment Rates from April 2016

Hi Steve
I am not quite sure I fully understand, are you saying the rates should have gone up in April due to being index linked.
In fact when are they supposed to go up.

FIT Payment Rates from April 2016

Hi Keith,

I assume you qualify for the higher rate in the tables (ie your house has an EPC rating in the A to D range).

Here's the rates for your initial period 1 October 2015 - 31 March 2016 which were 12.47 and 4.85 p/kWh
https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/sites/default/files/docs/2015/07/fit_payment_rate_table_for_publication_1_october_2015_pv_tariffs.pdf
These are the rates you quoted.

There was an index linked increase from 1 April 2016 to the current rates of 12.62 and 4.95 p/kWh (which will last until the next increase on 1 April 2017).

So you should have received a FIT rate increase from 1 April this year and you need to check with the company that pays your FIT if you didn't.

Hope that helps,
Steve
